Second part of my mild rant: Not everyone can be a star athlete, a member of the opposite sex, etc. But, life's tough and you take what you get. I'm sorry, young lady, that you aren't 5 10, slender and can make $1.0m a year walking the runway. I'm sorry that you aren't 6 11 and can shoot hoops with great accuracy.

I'm sorry (not really) that I'm not 6 5, hung like a horse, with a chiseled handsome face.

Someone is always going to be smarter than you, better looking than you, richer than you, more successful than you, etc. People who allow you to avoid the truth along these lines are not your friends.
