Don't forget last year's game

Hopefully LSU is ready for some trick plays from Spurrier, he always seems to have a few each time we play. The first drive they had last year, (if you go back and watch) is a bunch of misdirection and trick plays that led to a score. One in particular that he used, that he also used with Florida against us is where they hurry up to the line and hike the ball. I def. expect them to do that at least once in this game with how long it takes our D to get the play call in. Also, we should prepare ourselves for a fake of sort, whether it is a field goal or punt.

Yeah, I wouldn't be surprised to see him duplicate that same play where Flynn flipped the ball to David. What I'd love to see, if they tried it, for one of LSU's guys intercept it and return it for a score. It would be equally amazing to see LSU frequently run the "Wild Tiger" and that pitchout-lateral-to-Holliday play that picked up yardage. At least, Miles will have Spurrier's attention for the unusual at any time. (Seems like I remember there being a thread on this elsewhers, so we probably ought to return it to there.)

i haven't seen spurrier celebrate on the sidelines in 3 yrs. everytime they put the camera on him, he is taking his visor off and rubbing the top of his head. no shite.

I'm a HUGE fan of the Wild Tiger...i think this could be a very effective weapon if used carefully 5-6 plays in the game...possibly more if they can't defend it...

Is this something new? I haven't heard of the Wild Tiger. What is it?

Oh...Gotcha. Dubbed from the "Wild Cat".

yea we all discussed it the other day on a different thread...and it definitely has great potential. it sparked off of RM taking a direct snap with jarrett lee lining up as a wide receiver...

I can only remember it used once in the UF game. Lee went out to wide receiver and Murphy played QB. It didn't gain much but was a bit of a surprise. And I think it could have worked if KW had been QB, but perhaps RM has a better feel of QB.
Modifying this, RM could have taken the snap, run in a direction toward Lee with Lee doing an end-around (like a reverse) towards RM rather than going out for a pass, Lee taking the pitch from RM, and throwing a pass downfield or pitching it to a trailing back.
What would be confusing for the defense would be for LSU to have all of its passers in the game at once, where they line up in a T or Wishbone, one moves in motion, one takes the direct snap, hands it off to another to pass it or hand it to Holliday or other back or end. The issue is to so confuse the defense for two or three plays no one knows who to cover. I myself always liked the idea of having several QBs playing at the same time so that the defense stays challenged. Of course, this can backfire, in that the other team can do it as well, and/or own our defense may get more confused and fall prey to the strategy (turnabout), or a good DC have their LBs and Safeties blitz all the time. of course, this is all theoretical, as I have never been a FB coach, and no one will ever ask me to. But one can imagine.

yes i would expect some trickery coming yalls way this weekend. we actually used a trick play yall ran in the national championship game last year to win our game @ Kentucky last weekend. I think Spurrier feels obligated to hit yall with at least one after you pulled the fake on us.

I still think they oughtta do some trickeration with Byrd & KW again except visa versa this time ... I saw Byrd throw it 60 yards to KW in warm ups before the MSU game. Standing on the outside of the North endzone & throwing it to KW on the 50
