Putin gambled and is at least getting by temporarily in beating the economic sanctions. The world needs food and energy. Russia has that. Europe seems comfortable committing economic suicide over this conflict. Adults need to take over at some point. Apparently, some bigwigs in German industry have tried to speak out for relief.
