Will be valuable because all of your guards are 6’3” & shorter. Will have to be available to defend prototypical SG & longer wing players

He had early success with the three but the more he took the more his percentage was going down.

Shot .429 out of conference from 3 on 1.2 attempts per game

Shot .441 in conference from 3 on 1.9 attempts per game

So you are wrong on both of your points. He actually shot more 3’s as the season when on, and his percentage went up

quote:

One of his main weakness is only shooting 55% from the free throw line.

He shot 20 FT’s all year

The percentage is rather inconsequential due to the sample size. He was in the 70’s last year. He does not shoot enough or handle the ball enough to even worry about this.

quote:

Overall he shot 43.9 % from the field which was good but reflected him taking few shots.

54% of his shot attempts were 3’s.

He made 48% of his 2pt FG’s.

So while he is defending SG, one of our short guards has to defend a 6'7" forward? Or do you think McMahon plays him at shooting guard despite his lack of handles and offensive ability. Also the making fewer three's as the season went on was actually on a game by game basis. My memory maybe faulty but I remember him starting to miss a lot halfway through the SEC. You could be right about that though. He still can't get a shot off guarded though unless he has worked on a quicker release and some other offensive moves.

I looked at the stats again and there seems to be a real discrepancy between the stats you are quoting and what the LSUsports.net page says. You say that Mwani shot 42.9 on threes out of conference and 44.1 in conference. Yet the official stats say that for the season he shot 25/62 for 40.3. There are no other games outside conference and non conference so where did you get your stats from? Also the point I made about him hitting fewer threes as the year went on is supported by the fact that in the last six games of the season he only went 5/19 which is 26.3. In our tournament game against Iowa State when it really counted, he went 0/5. I sincerely hope he does better this next season but my stats were not wrong.
