That's the romantic version imo. I think the legend of JB actually started in the 7 OT game against A&M in '18.

this is how people see it, but I believe the turning point was after they got shut out against Bama. He had had enough of not being the best and his true ascension began from that point

It's possible that Joe actually died on that play, went to Heaven and spoke to God who sent him back to this life with some kind of grand purpose.
