Beside the regulars…cheesesteaks, Liberty Bell and Rocky, what are some suggestions to kill some time?

The Museum of the American Revolution is only a few years old and super nice, the Mutter Museum is badass, and frick a cheesesteak. The best food in Philly is a pork roll from DiNic’s at the Reading Market, a place that is worth a visit by itself.

I agree with Dinic's in reading terminal. Just don't order a pork roll, that will give you something you don't want. Roast pork with sharp provo and broccoli rabe.

If you are okay with riding a bike, you could rent one near the penitentiary, take it down to the museum/rocky steps, ride it over to boathouse row and from there south on the schuykill river trail and cut into the city at fitler square. Ride around fitler square, check out rittenhouse square and drop the bike off and eat somewhere for lunch. As others suggested you could walk around city hall/center city and hit reading terminal. I would probably rather sit at a restaurant but nothing wrong with grabbing something quick at RT. After that, pick up another bike and head east towards independence hall/liberty bell. Knock that out and continue east to the Delaware river. Food/drinks somewhere on the water, Liberty Point just opened, Morgan's Pier another really fun place. If you are still feeling adventurous continue into Northern Liberties/Fishtown which IMO is the best food/drink scene in the city.
Everything I mentioned is technically walkable also, the city is really small.

Yeah, you are right. I just called it that for whatever reason. Roast pork sandwich.

I was thinking as I was reading that you could just walk it, but not everybody wants to do that. I’m on my feet 14-16 hours a day at work so it’s not a huge deal for me to just walk everywhere.
