Last summer on vacation I printed out directions from Gmaps to bring with us on the road trip.
Never knew if we wouldn't have a signal in Zion, Yellowstone, Grand Canyon.
But I don't do this for trips to Houston or the Beach or anything.

Whoever said take alternate route 2 needs to shut it. Quit telling everyone.
GPS needs a stay on the paved road option.
Atlas and maps in the car have saved us many times when GPS failed. But we travel.
