That’s why I switched to the inflatable ones. Even my camo inflatable has the bright arse green float. It’s hard to be missed.

FYI- make sure your ice chest is completely dry before throwing it in there and taking off down the road.

I go out by myself a lot, and that got me in the habit of wearing a life jacket connected to the kill switch when running. I almost fell in one time trying to unsnag a spinner bait. After that I switched to the self inflating ones and wear one full time now. I can't count the number of times I made it to a spot, shut off the engine, got up, forgot to unhook, and been smacked in just about every body part by the kill switch lanyard. When that happens, I usually leave it hooked to the jacket and stick the slack in my pocket, spent a few times wondering "WTF now" when the engine wouldn't start when I was ready to move. All in all, better than death.
