I need to do better. I wear life jackets and use the kill switch on jet skis but I can't even tell when the last time I did on my boat. I was out yesterday in 20+ mph winds catching stripers and it really is dumb to not use the switch every time.

adding that if you baws fish windy conditions the way I do, the best piece of gear is Amish Outfitters Buggy Bags.
A great company that started catering to guys fishing Lake Erie in big winds. Those bags will save your trolling motor on windy days and work great. I don't vouch for a lot of gear, but I swear by those. Mandatory for doing controlled drifts in wind. Frank is a great guy.
