Live Oak Football

yeah it will be good for the kids, but the school has already reach 5-A numbers and redistricting next year will move them into 4-5A with Denham, Catholic, Central, Walker, and Woodlawn. ScotlandVille will probably be moved out of that distict.
Walker is the worst team in history of high school football, so they will get that win next year. Other than that its going to be tough going if they get moved into that district.
They need a good run of better and better seasons. Denham is in sam boat, just a little further advanced. They lost for years, then got a little better each year under Nettles to 5-5 last year.
This year they 4-1 and looking at playoffs. But they have to keep it going. One down year, and the program could be back in the toilet. I think Live Oak needs to keep getting better

im a sr at live oak and i have been to all the games(only one on the road) and trust me this team is not all that good. The coaching is BAD. We lost a good coach last year. Very good freshmen players and i expect this team to get better but big game aginst zach this friday we will know a little more about live oak.

I've got a friend that coaches at Walker and used to coach at Denham. He says that the lack of interest in football is what is killing football in Livingston Parish. Basically can't get the kids to come out for Football anymore. And Live Oak dropping to 4A is going to be a death sentance.

Umm... Live Oak is 4A now (6-4A to be precise) and has been for quite a while. Moving to 5A was Walker's death wish

dude i'm sorry u can't sense sarcasm. i played for both kemp and bozeman. trust me, i know exactly how big of failures they are. kemp was not that great. the reason he was mildly successful his last few years was because of the talent, coupled with the cupcake non-district schedules. the talent he had there his last couple of years was probably the best Live Oak has ever had.

Football in Walker is dead and lack of interest is there...Not LP. Denham is going strong as far as the interest the community has
