I don't find it sad. I don't have sympathy for her. She spent a quarter century being around and dealing with people like him. She knew what he was about better than most. She isn't a smitten teenager who made a mistake. Apparently, she spent months planning this, and had to do every single bit of the heavy lifting. Now, she's as much a criminal as he is. I hope the Bonnie and Clyde story is worth it for her.

I'm not saying she's not criminally culpable, but at core she's likely desperate for someone to care about her, which is sad.
