Dime is a good one of course but there likely wouldn't have been a Pantera reunion. Cliff is the obvious considering where people dream they would have went after Puppets. Definitely in their prime.
I love Jason but also would love to hear Justice with Cliffs influence.

yep i got to see them live a dozen times both with Jason and Tujillo.

Lots of possible answers, but I’m going with Jim Morrison. Despite all their issues, the Doors were a creative powerhouse. Lyrically and musically they always did something different and new.
Oh, and to the person who said Kurt Cobain was overrated… For a very short period of time, Nirvana was the biggest act in music. Not just rock music. Music. They almost-single-handedly ended 80’s metal.
