I'd imagine you'd be hard pressed to find any 5 year experienced architect making only $55k unless they live somewhere where COL is absurdly low.

that's the nature of a profession so many want to get into. If you want to earn well, you need dual degree and specialize.

That’s a first year salary. I guarantee in 5 years they’re at around six figures.
