Mad king……the best running qb in lsu history was Joe Burrow. He also was the best at throwing the ball.
The biggest threat in football is a quarterback that manipulates the defense into giving him an open field. Take the last 25 secs of the 1st half in the national championship as a prime example.
You don’t have to be fast and agile. You have to process quickly in real time what the defense is doing and exploit it. No recent QB in college football did that a good as Joe.
I was impressed with Brennans processing without pressure in his short lived season. However the minute he had to ad lib due to pressure, it was beyond bad.
