is this an informed consent thing? if you give someone vaxxed blood without their consent, could that be a legal issue for the hospital?

The questionnaire asking the vax status is the real issue.
I give blood regularly, I'm unvax'd and O-, I can't remember the flu vax being on the questionnaire. I'll be giving again next week likely, and I'll pay attention to questions about the flu vax and other things.

But the fact that the covid vax status is needed should raise some concern as to why that is needed data? Is there something going on with vax'd blood in some patients? Is there an overall risk that is taken when given to a patient and they have to get the patient to sign off on possible side affects of a vax'd blood?

No matter the reasoning for the question, there is a concern about it.
