No, they’ll raise rates to compensate for the loss of profit.

If they could just raise prices they would. They have already skyrocketed before the inflation really started taking off, and we are approaching a financial cliff. It's a hell of an expensive price to pay for them (that they cannot afford) to suck up to their small percentage of loser customers and Cast Members and the Pixar amorphous blobs.

IIRC, they are already losing money hand over fist with the Star Wars hotel / experience bullshite because it was so insanely overpriced for effectively being on a virtual cruise.

Raising rates on other stuff is not really an option when the economy goes to shite. Luxuries are very elastic demands and the choice between food and luxuries are no-brainers for most people. (At least ones not on huge government bennies)

They can afford it, unless the numbers are catastrophic, which I don’t see happening. At least for 4-5 years.

Disneyworld is extremely profitable, and Disney knows parents are unlikely to go protest at the gates day in and day out. Those parents have jobs and responsibilities. Much as we like taking our families to Disneyworld, we can vacation elsewhere. I say that as a parent with 20+ trips over the years, and canceled this year’s plans.

Liberals on the other hand can be at the gates every day doing everything possible to disrupt things and the media will feed it. Not wanting to deal with that bullshite will probably actually cause more people not to go.

Disney is betting those parents will relent and go back next year or the year after. They’ll be more careful about stepping too far out of the shadows until then.

They play a long game, and make decisions 5-10 years out. Never forget that about them.
