Who honestly thought we'd go undefeated?

I waited to check the board here until this morning thinking all the panic button pushers would be gone, but this is unbelievable guys. No, I didn't want the Tigers to get ran by 51 points, but when a very good team like Florida is clicking on all cylinders at home, and another team doesn't really show up then that's what happens. It was ONE game in COLLEGE football. These kids aren't professionals and no offense, but I'm sure LSU will not go undefeated for the next 20 years, so wake the frick up and get a life. And most importantly, let the season play itself out before you start throwing coaches under the bus. I mean it has to be all their fault since Rivals.com is NEVER EVER EVER wrong about a kid.

As you mentioned, it's not about going undefeated. I predicted 2 losses this season, one to Florida, the other to either UGA or 'Bama.

However, as you noted, it is the fashion in which we lost. 30 points? Sorry, but there is too much talent on this team to get blown out by 30 points.

When was the last time we beat a ranked SEC team by 30 or more points?

I didn't expect undefeated, and it's losing by 31 that shocked everyone. However, that is the nature of college football, there are many surprises throughout the season.

Last year, I expected a loss or two with Va Tech, defending champ Florida, Auburn, Saban, etc. Kentucky was a little surprising, Arkansas was too because of their record, but we knew Felix/McFadden would be a game. The big surprise was with the blowout over Va Tech.

In 2006, with 4 top 10 road teams, we'd be excited about a split, which is what we got. The surprise was the uber-conservative offense and how we lost at Auburn and the five turnovers against Florida.

We've made it to the point that we have such high expectations, that it's hard to truly accept any loss without being surprised, either by thinking we shouldn't have lost by that much, wondering what would have happened without all of the miscues, wishing we had tried a different gameplan.

Losses are expected, but how we lose is always "surprising" and too easy to second guess.

I was suprised that we got drilled by 30 pts. I expected us to loose two or three games this season due the unstability at the QB position.

However, next season I do expect us to really contend for the BCS title and I look for us to go 12-0 or 11-1.

my prediction was 10-2 wuldbe a very good year if we beat bamaand auburn...but would be shitty if we beat uga and UF and lost to bama and auburn

9-3 would be an okay year...not too bad considering

i'll stick with those expectations for now

I thought we would go undefeated, and I also thought the Florida game would be the one to determine that. Florida is the hardest team on our schedule. Georgia and Bama are good but overrated and we have them at home. We have more talent than Penn St. and it looks like they may go undefeated. Our talent has been improving each year and our D should be shutting everyone down. 'Rebuilding' is a bull shite excuse.

You must be expecting our offense to outscore everyone next year because our defense is getting worse each year.

Most of them are young and just need more experience. They will have that next year and I'm also betting on Miles hiring a full-time defensive coordinator too during the off season.

I predicted 1 loss with Perithug at QB.

I then predicted 3 with an unproven RS freshman.
