there are still some areas in st charles that are decent, St. John the Baptist is as much a shite hole as 9th ward is
overall if you had to live a short distance from new orleans i would search in some of the rural wooded north shore areas

Whether you want to admit it or not those parishes are considered as a part of the NOLA metro.
