What is not considered here but is very likely a huge calculation by ADs around the country. NIL is here to stay and players will go where they are offered the most. LSU is shaping their NIL program now and the issue is there is only so much money they will be able to spend a year. What percent of that money do you think will be spent on football and then baseball and how much is left over for basketball? Think about it. Scott probably made that calculation. To be elite in football is a must at LSU or Woodward will be shown the door. For the time being, let Brian Kelly use all that money to build up LSU football and then let Matt McMahon coach up his 3 stars and find hidden gems who won’t require NIL deals.

I’m a Wade supporter but still very pessimistic about the chances of keeping him past this season.

This year’s postseason was another story, and it’s unforgivable what Woodward did to the players.
