Barring we get things worked out, and say we win out and win the SECCG against UGA/UF, do you think that's enough to still get us in the Title game? Let's start hoping for the upsets!

It's an even year, let's just get to atlanta. that would be a feat in and of itself in an even year.

You must not college football often. If not the Sugar or another BCS bowl, I'm actually hoping for the Cotton Bowl. Sorry, another Big Ten matchup seems boring.

dont get me wrong, it'd be awesome, but with that big tumble we took after in the polls, i dunno if we'll have the respect.

National Title hopes. I am guessing you folks are not watching the same games I am? Let's beat SCe and concentrate on making a bowl game. Baby steps. This team is in need of reconstruction. From the basics of football (blocking, tackling) to the coaching staff (coordinators) and attitude. Let's take baby steps first.

We lost to what I believe is the most talented team in the country and one that we obviously don't matchup well with. There is no way top ten teams like BYU, OK St, TT, and UGA do that to us on a neutral field after we have a month to prepare.

I will keep the hope alive until it's an unrealistic possibility that we can't go to the game, regardless of how the team is playing right now, if we win every game remaining on our schedule we should be up there w/ every other one loss team to have a chance to play for the national championship, now if we lose another game obviously we're f@#ked, but till then..... One Game At A Time

Nobody thought we would have a shot with two loses last year, but we did. Lets see how the chips fall! Anything is possible in CFB. By the way Mizzou will beat Texas this week.

BUT WE COULD GET MATCHED UP AGAINST ONE OF THEM IF FLORIDA IS #2 BY THE TIME OF THE SEC CG AND WE BEAT THEM THERE.

Hell we may even be able to lose 3 SEC games and still win the SEC. I imagine if we beat Bama, and then Tubbs pulls something out of his arse like usual (such a game changing flag haha), it is a cinch that Saban loses to a team with lesser talent like Ole Miss. We would have tie breakers over AU and Bama in that situation. While possibly unlikely, never overlook the Bama second half of the season meltdown.

If we ended up beating the rest of the teams on our schedule, we wouldn't need to necessarily jump either in the polls. Our computer score would crush USC's if we:

beat UGA (5-1), USC (5-2), Bama (6-0), Ole Miss (whatever the frick), and UF/UGA again (another top 10 team).

Plus, I'm sure the voters would see that we avenged our loss to UF by beating them neutral and would give us the benefit of the doubt considering we're the defending champs. No way USC would get in over us. OU is even doubtful.

Halfway into the season there are people out there who think we can get to the NC with a RS freshman QB, a good-but-not-dominating defense, upcoming games against UGA and 'Bama, not to mention a rematch with UF in Atlanta, all of which we must win convincingly? Too rolling stoned.

9-3 maybe 10-2. Cap it off with a bowl win, bring in our stellar '09 class and get goin' again.

You did watch us play Auburn, Moo U and Florida? this isn't a one game breakdown. Unless Miles cracks the whip this week, it could get ugly. Let's concentrate on SCe, and making a bowl game period. Each win will move us up, but there are no national title hopes. Baby steps. This team is a LONG way from NC caliber. Long way.

I don't see how you idiots can even be considering the possibility of a NC. Expectations like that are the reason everyone is so devastated with an LSU team that is ranked #13 in the country.
