Add a tee right after your meter if you can. There is definitely a pressure drop if you are at the far end of the gas line on your house. My regulator is all the way open to get my generator to run. I barely make it out of the grill gas outlet that was already installed on my patio. The flexible gas hose and quick connects to get the generator far from soffits wasn't cheap at all. I'm about 3500-4000 all in to have an electrician install the backfeed and all needed conversions on the 11kw generator. Still less than a permanent whole home and can take it with me to the next house. It runs everything but my downstairs AC (All bed rooms and an extra living room are upstairs)
