Could we see the Capital One become the Citrus Bowl again? Or the Chik Fil A bowl become the Peach Bowl again?

Just lookin' for positives in this economic mess.

Hopefully bowls lose sponsers, schools lose money, and we go to a playoff system. One can dream.

There'll be a dozen other companies lining up to put their name on a bowl game.

There are NONE. Except if you are one among the AIG top brass, then you can get taxpayers to pay for your resort getaway and happy ending massages.

I don't think you realize the extent of the economic mess we're in.

Sure there is. I get to write down my loss on Fannie Mae and get a tax break!

People still need to advertise though

The bowls might just have to accept less money though

Come tell that to the Independence Bowl commitee. You would think an Alabama company would have thet shite on lockdown, but we have been looking for a solid sponsor for a while now. A few years ago, we went without one at all.

Hey I am just looking for positives if our country's economy spirals into oblivion. It's almost worth it if we can get a playoff.

But they don't need their names on bowls. I guarantee you the Papajohns.com bowl has at most 2 years left!

We might get out of Iraq a little quicker and stop waging retarded wars overseas for no reason other than to hook our buddies up with lucrative defense contracts. Just sayin'.
