Shocked no one has said Caldwell yet. One other one I like is Pierson Meyer. The tastings are usually done with Robbie Meyer one of the proprietors and he is a really nice guy. Neither has bubbles but we found the wine quality to be great at the right price point.

It’s a fun time for sure. But John is on his 3rd winemaker in the last 6 or so years. I’m not thrilled with the new guy. JFC puts out a shite load of varietals, but the new guy isn’t up to the task. Cancelled my Smuggler’s Club thing last month. Wine started becoming commonplace and prices kept climbing like crazy.
I’ll still go see him because it’s fun as hell, just not thrilled with the juice.
