overwritten into archetypes

Everyone has their own opinions and ways of analyzing movies, but isn't the main point of this movie to highlight these archetypes? How is it overwritten? Like the ending says:

Each one of us...

...is a brain: Brian perfectly portrayed. Nerd with a lunch that hits all the major food groups. Chimes in with a "know it all" comment any chance he gets.

...is an athlete: Emilio plays this to a tee as well. Jock wearing his letterman jacket acting all tough and takes pride in being an athlete. Starts playing protector when Bender starts bullying and teasing the others.

...and a basket case: quiet emo girl sniffing the pencil eraser and pouring salt all over her food while wearing something out of Marilyn Manson's closet. You'd make sure to walk across to the other side of the hallway when crossing paths with these types during school.

...a princess: this may be the only character that is more complex than the archetype she plays. She essentially resented the fact she was the princess so I found her being labled as the "princess" just as ironic as accurate.

...and a criminal: no explanation needed here, but Nelson played this character perfectly as well. highlighted all by his actions while in detention and his at home stories about the altercations with his old man.

So again, not sure where the overwritten description fits into this movie but you are entitled to your own opinion.
