- crit bike (beater)
Time consuming hobby..it will take over your life if you're trying to get on the podium and work yourself up through the different categories.
I got remarried and lost all that free time plus my wife hated my weirdo eating habits.
The trade off was well worth it.

one of the guys in my trail running group is a semi-professional racer.
he's on the podium most weekends and i continue to question the longevity of his marriage.
