As for woodworking, you dont need big tools. Does that help, sure. but you can start off with hand tools. i bought a few hand planes on ebay and restored them a while back. that was fun within itself.

I learned the basics of stick welding last year and it's something I enjoy. I wouldn't mind getting more into woodworking but my half of the garage is already cluttered and don't have room for table saw or band saw.

Yep, I do. Good idea. I might do something like that. I made a charcoal bbq pit out of an old propane tank and had a lot of fun with it. Based on the number of compliments I've gotten on it, I might start making some of those to sell.
Totally agree on restoring stuff! I've done a few restorations of old tools and that has been very rewarding and fun.
