In the process of purchasing a camp on a lake. Roughly 120 ft wharf with covered deck and boat lift. Deck and lift appear new and in great shape. Need to replace about half of 4x4 pilings on wharf. Whats the easiest DIY method.

I recall as a teenager working for a farmer who had a house on the lake, sinking posts using a pressure washer and jetting it down. That was 40+ years ago. Can't remember how that worked out.

Any suggestions?

Thanks

Depends a lot on the type of bottom you have. Jetting works well in sand, track hoes work well in mud if you can reach. If you have debri and lot's of roots on bottom it's makes things much more difficult.

Thanks, it’s a mud/clay bottom.

I googled driving your own dock pilings because I was gonna post a funny gif... ended up watching some youtube videos on doing it yourself.. You'd probably be better off hiring someone with the right equipment.
Unless it's in shallow water and you feel like swinging a 16 lb sledge lol
