Down the stretch he averaged 9.9 pts, 5.8 rbs, 1.5 blks, 1.8 turns, and 7.4 fouls per 40 minutes. He was really bad, and shouldn’t have even seen the floor as the season progressed
I like this because a lot of people keep trying to defend Reid by pointing to Kessler’s season at UNC. Kessler per 40 at UNC was 20 pts, 15 rbs, and 4 blks.

That 6-6 for 12 pts against a terrible Missouri team (even though he only had 1 rebound against that awful team) really bought Reid some confidence amongst this fan base for some reason. He averaged 4 points per game down the stretch if not for that game. He was a non factor, a negative to be completely honest.

I brought this up when it happened and people got really mad at me.

Add another Center, a PF, a SF, and two guards and we are cooking
you mean like Devin Ree, Julian Phillips, and Marvell Allen...?

Fudge (family in Lafayette)
Wilkinson (father's family is from BR)
O'Neal (ties to LSU...but I can't recall why?)
are the only ones on the roster with connections to Louisiana. Those could be the best candidates to try to get to stay.
O'Neal could get the significant PT he has yet to receive in his career. Fudge is a guy who has the physical traits to develop into a NBA player (I really hope they can keep him). Wilkinson is a tremendous athlete. Perhaps the promise of an extended role as a junior could keep him here. Same for maybe Colbert and/or Ezewiro.
The others were here SOLELY because of Wade and his staff. LSU had individual talent on the roster and you can bet coaches across the nation would love to get their hands on some of it. It is hard so see guys like Miller, Murray, Ried, Gaines, Williams sticking around.
