One of probably 1000's of life skills my Dad (and Mom) taught me. Without knowing I would assume Beasley had no Father growing up. These types of stories infuriate me more than anything. I'm thinking at the very least, put your money in a couple of Vanguard Index funds that's not to be touched, and give yourself an allowance. What's so difficult about that? Then I come back to the reality that these guys didn't have a Mom or Dad to teach them these basic skills. I would like to think I would learn these things on my own but who the hell knows.

But the stuff that Beasley is talking about is that his family looked at him as an ATM. It’s not that he bought 50 Ferrari’s.

So his choice is either to give up his money to friends and family with their hands out or cut ties with them.

There was an offensive linemen with the Cowboys who was very good, I think a first rounder and Pro Bowler. He ended up cutting ties with his family entirely over this issue.
