This is the off-season! Until proven otherwise, Brennan is the next Burrow. He is backed up by Russell Wilson and there’s a freshman on the roster who is exactly like Drew Brees with better arm strength.

Yep. Nobody ever looks better than the back up QB. Got on the Baseball Cap, holding the clip board, and a clean uniform.

I just hope LSU can find a good QB as we haven't had one since Borreaux!

Brennan is in the enviable spot where he has played just enough to be considered an LSU legend...but not enough to be torn down by the fanbase like Lee, and Jefferson, and Jennings, and Harrison, and Etling, and Johnson, before him. Each guy had a moment with the fanbase where he was going to be the next great...only to eventually be thrown in the wastebasket of history.

I'll hand it to Brennan though. He clearly loves LSU. LSU has tried to break up with him countless times, only for him to refuse to leave. 2017, O gets the permanent job and IMMEDIATELY tries to sign Tua (despite Brennan being a long time commit). 2018, Brennan leaves spring ball as the likely starter...LSU then signs a LESS experienced QB (Burrow) to come in and immediately start. I'm convinced that even if Brennan weren't injured before the season LSU was still going to go with Johnson as their starter. Ed kind of signaled that in the spring. Brennan entered the portal last year before Johnson ultimately did, signaling he felt Johnson was going to remain the starter next season. He then returned to LSU...only to now have LSU go out and sign a 3 year starter from ASU to come in.
