He's second (a slim second) only to Oscar Tshiebwe in overall efficiency. He gets it done on both ends of the floor. He's arguably the most efficient player Wade has ever had when you consider his play on offense and defense.

He ranks in the top 10 of the SEC in ALL of these categories:

Points per game (7th)
Steals per game (6th)
Blocks per game (9th)
Rebounds per game (9th)
FT% (10th)
FG% (3rd)

His advanced number are even better!:

Effective FG% (2nd)
Total Rebound % (5th)
Offensive rebound % (6th)
Defensive rebound % (9th)
Steal % (2nd)
Block % (4th)
Offensive rating (6th)
Defensive rating (1st)
Win share per 40 mins (1st)

Yet, he is only playing 24 minutes per game. That may not even be in the top 20 in the SEC.

Part of that is on him with the fouls. But there is no reason your best player should be 5th...on the team!..in minutes played. I like Wade, but his personnel decisions this year have been curious, at best. I think it is a matter of a analytically based guy getting too far in those weeds. Sometimes the "data" is right in front of you. Play your best player MORE...sit the guy (Reid) who gives you nothing most nights out.

Well fouls is pretty much the only reason for that.

He's fouled out of 6 games now:

18 minutes against Arkansas
20 minutes against Missouri
13 minutes against Kentucky
29 minutes against Tennessee
7 minutes against Florida
26 minutes against Auburn

Then he had the first A&M matchup where he couldn't stay on the floor in the second half because of cramps.

Eason is basically looking at 27, 28 minutes/game if he stays out of foul trouble and doesn't have the cramp game which would fall right in line with the rest of the starters and reduce Efton's minutes as a result.
