quote:Dissecting and breaking that down:
It's interesting to see the filth that sides with Putin and think about what's behind their affection for dictators. Maybe it's telling that Trump just called the invasion "genius" and praised Putin for being a former KGB agent and "knows how to use power."
Putin is not unintelligent. He would not be in his current position for as long as he has been by being an idiot. Are we supposed to ignore that he is a very calculating leader that is absolutely laser focused on his country's security?
Chances that Putin gets what he wants are pretty good. Ukraine is not going to be militarily supported by NATO, Putin has energy leverage, and is capable (via war) of applying significant pressure to get what he believes is in the best interest of his country; a buffer between Russia and NATO (not a bad idea, really).
Biden and Dems are extremely weak. The military is extremely weak and the defense leadership is more concerned with political correctness than in developing an elite, hard, and well motivated projection of force. Joe Biden is the worst president with the worst administration in history. The guy is a walking (shuffles, really, more than walking) talking (sort of) leader (who is told what to do and when he can respond by unknown others) moron that can frick up taking a piss.
Putin would be an idiot not to take advantage of the relative power void and weakness of the US government and woke military right now to achieve his aims. And my bet is that he has secured his billions of dollars in wealth in such a way as any sort of sanctions will never affect him.
Underestimating and not respecting the capabilities of an opponent is a sure fire way leading to defeat. Trump is right. Putin knows how to use power. There's no reason to deflect from that. Bring it out into the open and then maybe others won't underestimate Putin.

How is he laser focused on his country’s security? This invasion has nothing to do with that. He wants to get his puppet government back like he has in Belarus and used to have in Ukraine before they took their country back.

He definitely has his personal wealth and it’s been speculated that he’s actually the richest person in the world. That doesn’t mean shite if he fumbles and the Russians get sick of him and fighting his wars for his ego and supposed legacy and revolt.
