Indeed. If the folklore is accurate, they sent 1 gun for every 2 soldiers to the German front knowing that half of them would die anyway. "just grab a gun from a dead comrade"
That said, the Western propaganda has gotten silly.
It's being portrayed as if the Ukrainian army is a bunch of HS kids on a camping trip that thwarts the invaders.
