It would have been better than utter silence.
Telling the world how Ukraine had become a money laundry and playground for the US ruling class. Yeah the media would have buried it and all but instead Zelensky let all of that continue.

As I understood it Trump was suggesting that Zelensky initiate a legit investigation into the rather serious claims that were swirling about Joe, Hunter, Burisma, the fired chief investigator, etc etc. So theoretically it could’ve “helped” Trump had irrefutable evidence of the conspiracy referenced above, thereby disqualifying Biden from running. Now, whether or to what extent that (disqualifying Biden) would’ve ultimately “helped” Trump, who knows.
