Patton was wrong about this. We didn't want any part of the Russian army in 1945. And the the logistics heavily favored the Russians.

NO logistics but raw manpower favored the Soviets. What they already possessed was American made and supplied and transported.

The US supplied nearly everything to Stalin's Army and AF. Talking about equipment. Fuel. FOOD. etc.

Patton knew this and knew that we could choke off all supplies and win while our military was still smoking hot and ready.

No, he wasn't and logistics were horrid for the Red Army. There is a reason the Soviet Army only moved in jumps, with months long stops along the way. They had to stop so they could be resupplied. They did not have the ability to supply their armies efficiently and they were at the end of a very long supply line in Germany.

Uh,, Nope. They were down to sharing rifles, were starving and depended on what WE supplied them to even still be in the fight. Patton would have smashed them.

No he really wasn’t wrong about it. The Russians were pretty well expressed by the time they attacked Berlin. After the Germans surrendered we would have not only been able to use what was left of the Wehrmacht supplied by us but we would have had the port of Antwerp to resupply instead of coming from the beachhead. It needed major repairs but could have been done quickly. They had tons of infantry, tanks and artillery as did we but even though they had a capable single engine plane Air Force, we had better planes and most importantly better trained pilots and more of them. The one major difference that would have made it an easy victory though was our fleet of heavy bombers which they did not have. By the end of the war we could routinely put together missions with 1200 bombers completely protected the entire way with P-51’s that would lay waste to whatever was in their path.
