But when IU fired him, most people, especially the MSM, applauded the decision. He was too old school, the game had passed him by, there wasn't room for his behavior in the sport anymore, etc. And that was over 20 years ago.

However in 2022, Howard's behavior is being excused by the MSM because he grew up on the Southside of Chicago, and that's how his grandma raised him, so we shouldn't be surprised. Seriously wtf?
