Ukraine gets green light for defensive strikes against Russia — Latvian FM

Some countries are providing Ukraine with military aid without restrictions, enabling strikes on Russian territory, stated Latvian Foreign Minister Baiba Braže in an interview with European Pravda on May 1.
This aid comes as Western stances evolve regarding Ukraine’s defensive strategies against Russia.
"International law allows strikes on aggressor countries' territory for defensive purposes," Baiba Braže said.
"While Ukraine receives weapons from Western partners with a public warning to avoid strikes beyond its borders, such a stance is shifting."
"Some countries have already provided weapons to Ukraine without imposing restrictions," she said.
"In these instances, the lifting of restrictions is not publicly disclosed."

Nor should it be.
I just saw a Newsweek report where Ukraine announced they will be beginning in country F-16 ops on May 5th. I grew up on military bases around the world. One thing that I vividly remember is the commercials on AFN when we lived in Germany in the early 80's talking about "you never know who is listening". How have we gone from that to telegraphing every move made?
