When I opened this thread 5 days short of a year ago I was thinking this is something pretty much everyone here will be in agreement on. How wrong I was.

It makes sense. Russia has used up its artillery, it's used its Wagner prisoners, so now they have to use something else to advance.

So, they may be about to sacrifice a lot of planes in close air support. In reality, the Ukrainian MoD has already been reporting a higher rate of Russian aircraft losses, so this would seem to be something already underway.
