Sorry for your loss. I've not experienced that myself or with my close family, but some of the scenes you see on TV (Intervention, dopesick, etc) are super scary. Can't imagine dealing with this with a close family member.

Afrin nasal spray when I was like 21. Didn’t realize that stuff was addictive. But it was legit hard to stop using it. Always kept an extra bottle in my pocket.
