to me it would be a mistake if he comes in and gets anymore than a series or 2. i personally dont like the 2 quarterback system unless you have a russell sheppard or tebow on your team. i think we should just stick with one man and that is lee. thuughts?

i think 2 series is to much.

1 is even pushing it. I wouldn't mind a play or 2.

I think Hatch gets a very bum rap. When he has been in the game, he has moved the chains. I would like to see him play enough to stay somewhat sharp. If Lee goes down, do we really want to deal with the inexperienced QB thing again? I don't.

I think Hatch is much better scrambling/running the ball. gives another dimension. Problem is, you can't get any consistency from either guy if they are sharing time.

I think if its handled right it can work. I think if Lee is constantly worried about losing the starting job it could become a problem; however, if Lee knows before hand that the job is his, and Hatch is just brought in for a set amount of plays while Lee is on the sideline figuring out what he's going to do on his next drive, it could work really well.

Say what you want, Hatch was the only one doing anything against AU, and had it not been for him getting hurt, Lee would probably still be second string. I don't think Hatch should start, but having him play forces CUM to prepare for the option. This can only help LSU.

he deserves a shot no doubt, he sacrificed and he did make some nice scrambles against a very good D. Miles isn't going to bench him for showing too much heart.

I look at it like this:

Lee played great 2nd half of the auburn game, and then played a pretty good game against Miss st. Whats the difference from those and the first half the Auburn game? He didnt have to look over his shoulder to see if Les was going to put in Hatch.

If Les is going to seriously sub them in and out I see Lee having a horrible game and hatch having a...Hatch type game.

I hate the idea of Hatch getting any PT unless Lee is hurt.

With all due respect to Sheppard, and I'm sure hell garner the respect he deserves in due time, lets not compare our quarterbacks to people who havent played a down of college football. Doesnt make sense to me.

Hatch should come in for specially designed plays depending on down and distance, game situation, etc and not full series.

so far, when lee entered/started games, he got to perform knowing that there was no way in hell that Hatch would come in and take his place if he screwed up. saturday will be the test and that kind of concerns me.

The more snaps and game time experience LSU can give Lee the better. By season's end Lee could have a full season under his belt and he will be that much better. This is better than having two qbs who have a 1/2 of a season under their belt when it's time to go to a bowl.

I wouldn't expect to see QB shuffling if Lee is hanging in there very well. You don't mess with rhythm.

Give Hatch a break! The 1958 National Championship team used 2 quarterbacks, remember Hodson and Guidry, how about even for florida tebow and Leach, by the way they also won the national championship that year. Hatch adds a whole other demension to our offense. Let Miles coach, and enjoy the game.

Maybe, but he completely takes away another one. He should only play in certain situations(short yardage), but in no way should he get whole drives.

I think it's a different scenario when you have a veteran QB (Flynn, Leak) and bring in a change of pace guy even if the veteran QBs are doing well because it won't really bother them or mess them up.

HOWEVER, with a young QB, namely one making his first road start ever, at a tough SEC venue no less...you don't mess with rhythm if he's clicking by bringing in a change of pace QB. I agree bring in a change a pace guy if a young QB isn't doing well, but if Lee drives us down the field the first 2 drives and we get 14 or 10 points...would you really want to bring in Hatch?
