What's the deal with that? I thought LSU supposedly did well?

We're ranked 3 for transfer portal rankings. 6 in overall class rankings that's recruits and transfers combined and 12th for just 2022 recruits.

You should surprisingly post even less than you already are

The transfer portal ranking is new this year obviously and I wonder if it's a work in progress.
That ranking is only going to be legitimate if you count both transfers you brought in and then subtract transfers that you lost (e.g., losing Ricks should have had a profound impact on our overall transfer ranking).
Again, until they do that, the ranking is dubious at best.

That ranking is only going to be legitimate

LINK
I think OP might be talking about this link here.
If so, this isn’t talking about rankings where we stand on composite with transfers.
This is mentioning how many departures we had and how many incoming transfers we had and the rating differences of those.
OP just needed to do a better job of explaining what he was talking about

Wrong. You only get credit for the recruits that you sign in a class. You should similarly only get credit for the transfers that you sign in a given class.
The players you lose are reflected in how the team is looked at in various preseason rankings.

A writer at 24/7 (who is obviously a dumbass) said LSU was near the bottom in Net portal rankings, meaning what we lost versus what we picked up

yes, exactly. OP did not explain himself in detail properly and everyone assumed he was talking about just standard rankings under 24/7. He is actually referring to the article that this guy wrote and has us at 12th.

Take a left head straight down the hall, second door on the right then you’re back at the Rant, this is the Recruiting knowledge office sir.

Ok, you're either intellectually lazy or more likely just lacking.

Someone obviously can’t comprehend how recruiting rankings work, no matter how well documented that process is. I can’t say I’m surprised based on your pathetic post history, though.
Do us all a favor and go back to the fricking Rant with all of the other alters and trolls. Better yet, the admins should do it for you since we all know what you are.

I checked out that link and the methodology of the system they came up with to make those rankings seems seriously flawed to me. For example, they have Bama ranked #1 in the SEC in the transfer portal even though (according to them) Bama lost 17 players to the transfer portal but got 3 out of the portal. But since the average (96) rating of the 3 they got was 9.94 points higher than the average (86.06) that they lost, their (Bama) overall rating is +9.94
