It seems like most of the folks from NOLA that go to LSU go back after graduation, outside of that, everybody is in Houston and Dallas/Atlanta to a lesser extent.

Lots of summer internships out of state that turn into full time jobs. That's what got me to Dallas.

Houston has pretty much the same crappy landscape as S LA. It doesn't help but it turns out having a lot of high paying jobs can overcome this limitation
