The average person who wants to lose weight isn’t going to hardcore for an extended period of time. I’ve done it, tracked calories, did the bulking/cutting cycles. It works, but it’s tough.
Reducing carb intake is best for most people wanting to lose weight. It pairs great with IF and requires no app tracking. Not saying full keto is necessary. Just high fat and protein, and reduce carbs and your hunger pains will go away and fat will melt off.

My experience has been that even when not doing full blown Keto, proteins and even fats with minimal carbs just digests much easier and better.
