It depends on which region you're in. Surnames in the prairie region will be different than the ones in the bayou region. With some being common in both regions. Then there's also the cajuns along the river in between BR and Nola.
some of the common ones in my experience in Acadiana are: Fontetnot, Trahan, Hebert, Boudreaux, Dugas, Richard, Savoie and Gautreaux. I'm sure there's others that I could point out in a lineup but off top I am drawing a blank.
