Just bought a beach house in Waveland. Looking for some spots to take my kayak and go catch some small reds/trout. Any input appreciated!

Bonus points if i can get there on my golf cart.

How close are you to Bayou Caddy? You really want to take it down to LaFrance’s in Ansley and fish those bayous.

You have a good anchor system? The railroad bridge area can be very good if so.

Welcome to Waveland. Trout and Reds can be found in Bayou Caddy and the Jordan River (launch at Lazy Gator in Diamondhead) this time of the year. Focus on the deep spots early and the flats later in the day. You can catch all of the Sheepshead you want on the bridges.
ETA: I caught a lot of white trout and reds on the Coleman Ave. pier a few weeks ago but the water was a lot higher than it is now. I was in my bay boat but it’s should be an easy paddle.
