You can really tell the difference between the Rapides and south western end of Catahoula Lake and the north old river/French Fork LaSalle area.
Those self proclaimed cajun baws come up from Avoyelles and thats where you hear about the wild stories from the lake from. Granted a lot are good baws.

One of the biggest problems of youth/new Hunter recruitment is the industry has convinced people you can't kill deer without the $1000 Mathews bow/$500 scent control suit/$3000 Quietkat electric bike/ozonics/designer camo/etc. People just get intimidated by what looks like a second mortgage level investment just to get started.
