I saw The Jezabels in a tiny club in DC like 15 years ago and were like, "they are gonna hit it big next." They never did, but the band that opened for them did shortly after - Imagine Dragons.

Drive-By Truckers don't have a lack of popularity I don't think? I mean, the more outspoken Patterson Hood becomes I can see just getting burned out by him (a la Isbell), but they're about as popular as I think they could be.

Most people know them for Possum Kingdom but they continue to make great music.
