I understand your point that it was not a good call and cost 3 points, but the TOs and poor FGs were the difference. I am not saying the points didn't matter, but that call was not what cost the game. The call was acceptable, but since it didnt work out it seems like the only difference

It was far from the only difference, but it shows a pattern of Payton not knowing how to manage a game.

Maybe he is young and he will learn. Funny how a guy like Les Miles (albiet at a lower level of competition) takes gambles which always seem to work out but Payton takes gambles which never do. Is one lucky and the other not? Or does one know when to take those gambles?
