re: German Shepherds as Pets (with cats, small dogs, and kids)

Just my personal experience. We had a German Sheperd that didn't care about the two cats. He also guarded my oldest daughter in her crib when she came home from the hospital and growled if anyone unfamiliar got near her. It was pretty cool. Her own personal protector.
