Thanks for this reply. I'll look more into the MoCA adapters for the backhaul as that may be a possibility for my setup. I have the primary upstairs near the gateway, which is in my office, and the node downstairs directly below in the den near the TV.

I have an apartment above the garage that I was using a slower, cheaper dual-band Asus as a node for to get Wifi out there. It was working fine for the most part. After the most recent firmware upgrade it lost connection to the system so I still need to go get it and pair it up again.

I've been quite happy with the setup so far, however I feel like I'm losing a bit more speed at the devices than I anticipated. The speed is still very good overall. I just want to try and maximize what I have for a while before dumping money into wiring everything in a few years.
